Cancel memberships

To prevent unwanted bills, cancel or transfer the deceased's memberships.

If a membership or services is still being used, transfer ownership as needed.

Memberships may include, but are not limited to:

  • Seniors associations
  • Alumni associations
  • Country clubs
  • Religious organizations
  • Veterans associations
  • Gyms / home gym services
  • Movie theaters

Check to ensure that all final payments have been made so as to not pay interest on overdue charges.

Exclamation_Icon.svgImportant The deceased's overdue bills should not be paid directly by surviving family, beneficiaries or the executor of the estate.

These final bills should only be paid by the executor of the estate, using money from the estate during probate.
