When my mother was on hospice she was able to create a legacy album with pictures and statements quoted from my mom. As Alison spoke with my mom she was able to get great stories and memories behind the pictures that were placed in the album. My mom enjoyed reliving those memories.

When we received word that my father was failing, Alison went and sat with him for some time at his bedside in the nursing home. I was unable to be there, since I live in Colorado so had to fly home. It was comforting to know that she was there supporting him in his dying process when I could not be present.

It was helpful to me to be able to speak knowing that I would have to the time to get all of my thoughts out without being interrupted. I appreciated the opportunity to talk through all the issues on my mind and have Alison ask clarifying questions and / or tell me back what she heard me saying.
