Morgue

A morgue is a facility used for the storage of deceased bodies.

These bodies are typically awaiting identification, Autopsy, or a Final Disposition like Burial or Cremation.

Morgues are typically found in hospitals, Funeral Homes, Medical Examiners' offices, and other institutions involved in the management and investigation of deaths.

They are equipped with refrigeration units to keep bodies cool, as well as other specialized equipment for special procedures like Embalming. They may also have private rooms where Surviving Family members can view them.

They are typically staffed by trained professionals like Morticians, medical doctors, or Medical Examiners, who are responsible for the proper care and handling of the deceased.
