I'm skilled at mediating complex conversations and I'm trained to navigate grief and trauma. I bring my 15 years of public radio & podcast journalism experience and my work as a ceramic artist to my doula approach, calling on the ancestral healing power of clay and storytelling to help my clients make meaning of their life and legacy, and equip them with tactile mindfulness tools to navigate stressors as they come up in the moment.
We can record your life stories to be preserved for your loved ones as an oral history, make clay sculptures to help you connect with your body, do guided meditations and visualizations, arrange your room so it's the most pleasing to your senses, prepare rituals and more.
I am connected to a network of end-of-life resources across Southeast Louisiana, that includes the deathcare accessibility nonprofit Wake, the LA-MS Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, and independent doulas specializing in bodywork, joy work, somatics, BIPOC spiritual healing, and more. As a doula, I can help you navigate the complex web of institutions providing necessary EOL services, and offer support as a healer, as well as referrals to my colleagues for their specific modalities.
