What should clients know about your pricing(e.g., discounts, fees, packages)?
I offer End-of-Life Support Plans with multiple services to take the stress or decision-fatigue out of your end-of-life care. I also offer scholarships and occasional pro-bono cases to those impacted by financial burdens.
What is your typical process for working with a new client?
We will start with an onboarding visit or zoom call to discuss your needs. Once you sign onto services or a package, I will send you your welcome packet. Take your time filling out the paperwork, including the client intake form. Once everything is turned in, we begin your services according to our agreed upon schedule. Our services end once the dying person has passed OR when we have completed the timeline for your services. We will have one final wrap-up session after that.
What advice would you give someone looking to hire an end-of-life doula?
Take your time exploring and trying to find the right death doula for you. If you are hiring a death doula for a loved one, please include their input as much as possible. This is imperative for a successful partnership between the end-of-life doula and the dying person.
What questions should clients think through before talking to doulas?
Am I ready to build a connection and trust with a new person, the doula? Can I be open enough to explore the process in ways that honor and center my needs and desires? Do I have the budget to work with a death doula or do I need financial assistance?
What populations are you best suited to serve?
LGBTQIA+ populations, Latino/a/e populations that speak English (soy practicando Espanol!), fellow disabled people, anyone holding grief from experiences of loss or change, and our dying population.
Do you offer any physical modalities or specialty training?
Included in some of my package plans, I partner with practitioners to offer you massage sessions, acupuncture sessions, art therapy and more.
Do you offer any other services beyond end-of-life doula support (e.g. advanced care planning, paralegal, legacy services, chaplaincy services)?
I offer legacy project planning, legal guidance (but not advice), advanced care planning and in some cases, death cleaning.
Do you work as part of a collaborative or independently?
I work independently but am connected to other local death doulas!
Are you willing to work remotely?
Yes, depending on the situation.
