What types of services do you provide?
Direct Care Caregiving, Bathing, changing of clothes, changing of briefs, rotation of loved one,
helping with comfort and anxiety, reading, comforting families. Being with our patient for the last 72 hours to allow family relief and to just be family - NOT A CAREGIVER.
What should clients know about your pricing(e.g., discounts, fees, packages)?
Since we are a non-profit, we do have foundation funding to help those with low incomes, those living alone, or families that just cannot provide care. You will need to live in the Quad City (Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey, AZ)
Pricing - 24 hours $1,000.00
Hourly - $50.00
What is your typical process for working with a new client?
If you are looking for help from the foundation, we have a financial form to complete.
If you are paying privately, we have a contract to sign. We will then help to find a Death Doula that will fit nicely with your loved one.
What are some of the ways you have supported someone at end-of-life?
Keeping families updated on what to expect and how we can help their loved ones with comfort and compassion. Talking with hospice company RNs to keep them in the loop as well. Helping families not to be afraid of death and dying but to see the beauty in the moments.
What advice would you give someone looking to hire an end-of-life doula?
What kind of Death Doula are you looking for:
One that is hands-on and will do patient care?
How many hours are they willing to stay at one time?
Can they give true focus on your loved one, not be juggling others?
What questions should clients think through before talking to doulas?
Are you prepared to have your loved one die at home?
Are you able to follow the wishes your loved one has chosen?
Is your health able to handle long hours, lifting, and lack of sleep?
If your loved one is in a skilled Nursing Home or Assisted Living, is your loved one comfortable and with dignity?

All my Death Doulas have also been certified in Dementia Death Doulas - Dementia/Alzheimer's end-of-life is not the same as other end-of-life care.
