Mausoleum

A mausoleum is a freestanding building, typically constructed of stone, designed to hold the remains of deceased individuals.

It is an above-ground Interment and may contain a number of compartments or Burial Vaults for Caskets or Urns.

Mausoleums can be found in both public and private cemeteries and are often used by families or individuals who prefer above-ground Burial to traditional in-ground.

Some mausoleums may also include features like stained glass windows, decorative carvings, religious symbols, or other ornate architectural elements.
